Restaurants Gunpowder | Chiado

Gunpowder | Chiado

€60.00

Given Portugal's longstanding ties to India, a fine dining Indian inspired Marisqueira was a long time coming. One of London's biggest names in contemporary Indian cuisine, Gunpowder has opened its doors in Chiado on Rua Nova da Trindade. Don't go looking for butter chicken here, owner Harneet Baweja's philosophy is to introduce people to some of the less popular but ever so tasty Indian dishes. On the menu are London classics like aloo chat and their vermicelli donut combined with Lisbon exclusives like the raia konkani or the tuna croquettes with chive moilee. Pair all this with an extensive wine menu with many natural wines for the aficionados and Lisbon has its new maharaja of Indian food.

Insider Tip:

There is private dinning room for up to 10 people that you can book for a special occasion.
