Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Website Manager to take full ownership of the Lisbon Insiders website. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting a comprehensive audit of the website, optimizing its design, user experience (UX), search engine performance (SEO), and implementing strategies to increase traffic, conversions, and sales. You will have the freedom to recommend and execute a variety of initiatives that will improve overall site performance, enhance user engagement, and drive revenue.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Website Audit & Improvement:

    • Conduct a thorough audit of the website to identify areas for improvement in design, functionality, SEO, and user experience.

    • Analyze current website performance metrics (traffic, bounce rates, conversions, etc.) and implement strategies to address any weaknesses.

    • Recommend and oversee design changes to improve user interface (UI) and overall aesthetic appeal.

  2. Search Engine Optimization (SEO):

    • Develop and execute a comprehensive SEO strategy, including on-page optimization (keyword research, metadata, image alt tags, internal linking) and off-page optimization (backlinks, content partnerships).

    • Conduct regular website SEO audits and performance checks using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other SEO platforms.

    • Create or collaborate on content that boosts search rankings and brings organic traffic to the site.

  3. Traffic Generation & Marketing:

    • Plan and implement digital marketing campaigns (including content marketing, social media, email marketing, and pay-per-click (PPC) advertising) to drive traffic to the site.

    • Develop partnerships with influencers, blogs, and travel websites to boost visibility and traffic.

  4. Sales Strategy & Conversion Optimization:

    • Design and implement strategies to increase conversion rates for products offered on the site.

    • Optimize the shopping experience, including simplifying the checkout process, improving product pages, and using A/B testing to identify successful features.

    • Create automated email marketing campaigns (abandoned cart recovery, post-purchase follow-ups, etc.) to nurture leads and boost sales.

    • Collaborate with the content team to ensure that sales-driven content aligns with the overall brand tone and voice.

  5. Analytics & Performance Monitoring:

    • Use analytics tools (Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, etc.) to track website performance and user behavior.

    • Provide regular reports on traffic, SEO rankings, conversion rates, and overall website performance.

    • Continuously iterate and improve based on insights from data analysis.

  6. Automation & Email Marketing:

    • Set up and manage automated email campaigns for customer engagement, abandoned cart recovery, and promotional offers.

    • Develop and grow the email subscriber list, and segment the audience to deliver personalized and targeted messages.

  7. User Experience & Design Optimization:

    • Regularly review and improve the website’s user interface and experience (UI/UX) to ensure it is intuitive and engaging.

    • Work with designers and developers (if necessary) to ensure that the website remains functional, visually appealing, and aligned with brand goals.

  8. Content Management:

    • Oversee the website’s content strategy, ensuring that all pages, blogs, and product descriptions are optimized for SEO, user engagement, and sales conversions.

    • Update and refresh content regularly to ensure relevance and accuracy.

    • Coordinate with writers, designers, and external contributors to ensure quality content is published regularly.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in website management, digital marketing, or eCommerce strategy.

  • Strong knowledge of SEO, PPC, conversion rate optimization (CRO), and UX/UI best practices.

  • Experience with analytics tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, or similar platforms.

  • Strong understanding of sales funnels, email marketing, and customer journey mapping.

  • Basic knowledge of web development (HTML, CSS) is a plus.

  • Experience with eCommerce platforms like Square Space, or similar is an advantage.

  • Creative mindset with the ability to think strategically and execute effectively.

  • Excellent project management skills with attention to detail and a results-oriented approach.
