The Comporta Summer Edit

June 12 -18

Comporta has become many things over the years: a summer escape, a design fantasy, a fashion crowd playground.

But beyond the perfectly curated image, there’s still something special about it when you know where to go. Long empty beaches, great produce, sun-faded restaurants, spontaneous sunset apéros, tiny cafés hidden between pine trees, and that feeling that the day somehow moves slower here.

THE EAT LIST

Morning Spots

A sunny terrace breakfast spot in Comporta for açai bowls, smoothies.

A chic French bakery in Carvalhal known for its flaky croissants.

Lunches & Dinner

Fresh seafood, salty air and afternoons that stretch a little longer than planned.

Lagoa ó Mar

Lagoa ó Mar is a beach lounge located in Praia da Costa de Santo André, in Melides. Enjoy the coastal vibes while having delicious seafood, tapas, and light meals – the perfect spot for sunset gazing.

Summer Escape Perk: Welcome drink

Insider Tip: The real move is a late afternoon table facing the lagoon side — sunset here feels quieter and more local than most of Comporta.

Taberna D’Vila

Taberna D'Vila, in Grândola, is a Portuguese restaurant serving carefully curated dishes made with the best local products. Here, tradition walks hand in hand with experience to bring forth dishes like codfish pataniscas, pork cheek with Alentejo migas, and much more.

Summer Escape Offer: Welcome drink

Insider Tip: Taberna D’Vila is the kind of place locals hope never becomes too famous. Come for simple Alentejo cooking, fresh fish and a version of Comporta that existed long before the hype.

Maroto

Tucked into the relaxed landscape of Comporta, Maroto captures the effortless charm of a Portuguese summer. With seasonal cuisine, fresh local flavours, and long alfresco lunches that turn into sunset dinners, Maroto embodies Comporta’s signature blend of understated luxury and barefoot elegance.

Summer Escape Offer: 55€ exclusive menu (only available during the campaign dates)

Insider Tip: Don't leave straight after dinner — the terrace is made for one last drink as the temperature drops and the pine trees start to light up.

THE SLEEP LIST
