The charm of this little space, now 10 years old, has never wavered. Summer nights are great here, as The Food Temple puts up some cushions for guests to sit at the stairs of this typical alley in Mouraria. The menu is fairly straightforward and 100% vegan, and as mains one can choose between a tofu pie, or gratin of root veggies both made with love from Bahia's chef's kitchen. Service is friendly and warm, and you are encouraged to build a rapport with the team.

This is not your typical vegan spot serving average meals: besides presentation, they worry about delivering unique flavours, and have delicious wines and artisanal beers to go with the food.
