Ourives Petisqueira
In the heart of Mouraria, once one passes the elegantly tiled façade of this petiscos bar, it's difficult to not want to go in. Ourives Petisqueira is a family business, run by parents Mário and Teresa Magalhães, and their son Bernardo. The menu is full of favorites, but also includes some lesser seen dishes like lamb chops with chimichurri, or puntilhitas (baby squid fried crisp).
The name Ourives is a homage to the old goldsmith that occupied the building from the early 1800s till 2011, with reminders of that era all over the restaurant including their tiled floor, giving an almost escher-like illusion to the charming space.

Ourives is the perfect place to take some emblematic photos while grabbing delicious tapas!
