O Galeto is the only restaurant in the city where you can sit at the counter side by side and facing other customers. Inscribed in the "Lojas com História" list, Galeto is an institution in Lisbon. Founded in 1966, it is now owned and managed by one of the partner's sons. Here, you'll find a myriad of different dishes, from homemade cakes and pastries, to proper bitoques, sandwiches, and much more.

The restaurant has an interesting architecture and decor, as the owners preserved the 60s style it was born with. The founders emigrated to Brazil, where they opened restaurants. They then came back home with the idea of opening a similar concept – serving high-quality grilled chicken, which in Italian is called "galetto" – hence the name of the restaurant.
