Monka Café

There was once a Brazilian baker passionate about the magic of slow fermentation. One day, he decided to showcase his savoir-faire to Lisbon – with wheat bread and some pastries. Lapa inhabitants quickly fell in love with it. The success led Arthur Resti and his wife to open a larger space with tables. That is how Café Monka opened its doors, serving bread-based breakfasts and light lunches and dishes that take inspiration from all over the world. There’s also a small grocery shop and pop-up dinners with artisanal dough pizza.
