There are 150 seats on high stools at a counter that zigzags around the main room of the city's most famous snack bar (also open until later), which makes the dining experience feel like a big meet-up. And even before the dishes arrive at the table, such as the mythical Combinado Nº8 (bun, burger, Flemish cheese and fried egg) or the Roast beef, it's worth taking a look at the classic design of the menus, the architectural work of Joaquim Bento d'Almeida and Victor Palla and the vintage touches in the decor that make 1966, the year it opened, seem up to date.

Insider tip. Of the two menus available, the one in the snack bar holds the best secrets.
