The style is that of nineteenth-century Lisbon, a time when chic cafés served a steak that became famous in the city. It was called "À Marrare" and came dipped in a cream and butter sauce, now recreated here by chef Luís Gaspar. From the counter, with high, comfortable stools, you can watch the work in the kitchen, the epicentre of French, Italian and Portuguese classics, such as Foie Gras Torchon, Codfish Brandade au Gratin or Mushroom Risotto, served by waiters in full uniform.

Insider tip. Don’t miss out on the croquettes, which are served with a mustard trio.
